WHITE BEAR LAKE - Hmong students not only make up the largest student-of-color group at Century College, but they also are the most successful group at the college, Larry Litecky, president of Century, told the audience that filled the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome recently to celebrate the Hmong American New Year, the largest celebration of its kind in the country.

MINNEAPOLIS - Hugo resident Adrian Santini, all of thirteen years old, is making a big splash in his role as Young Lucius in Shakespeare's "Titus Andronicus," directed by Paul von Stoetzel. The production, which is being presented by the Cromulent Shakespeare Company, runs through Feb. 2 at the Bedlam Theatre on the University of Minnesota's West Bank.

Staff Wants Community To Acknowledge Domestic Violence Problem
BLAINE - It has gone from being one of the county's biggest secrets to helping thousands of women and children every year.
And this year, Alexandra House, which is based in Blaine, marks 30 years of reaching out to victims of domestic violence across Minnesota.
Last year, women and children in Lino Lakes and Centerville benefi ted from the work of Alexandra House on more than 650 occasions, from filing for protection orders to meeting with an advocate following the arrest of an abuser.
