“Hunt For The Golden Spike” OFFICIAL RULES

• The first Treasure Hunt clues will be published in The Citizen in the may 27, 2009 edition.

• A new clue will be posted 2 times daily beginning thursday, June 4 at the following locations:

• Sertino’s Cafe at Victor - Gardens South - 14643 Mercantile dr. n., Hugo, MN

• Lions Park – Look for the big sign near the refreshment/ seating area.

• Postal Credit Union - At Victor marketplace 14750 Victor Hugo blvd. north. Hugo, MN 55038

• The Citizen office at 14491 north Forest blvd. In addition, clues will be posted on The Citizen website (www.readthecitizen.com) at approximately 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 4 - 6 and Sunday, June 7 at 8 a.m.

If you are parked on The Citizen Web site, don’t forget to hit your “refresh” button, or the clue will not appear when posted!

• If you find the Golden Spike, immediately return it to The Citizen office, located at 14491 north Forest blvd., to qualify for a $250 instant cash prize.

• The Citizen will also award an additional $750 to the finder if he/she has a 2009 Hugo Good neighbor days “Golden Spike” button.

• Golden Spike Buttons will be available at:

• Sertino’s Café

• Hugo City Hall

• North Country Auto Body

• Postal Credit Union - At Victor marketplace 14750 Victor Hugo blvd. north. Hugo, MN 55038

• If the Golden Spike is not found by noon on Sunday, June 7, 2009, The Citizen reserves the right to terminate the hunt and donate the prize to a local charity.

• The Citizen reserves the right to discontinue the hunt at any time if public property is destroyed.

• All contestants agree that The Citizen, the Hugo Lions Club and their respective affi liate companies, parents, subsidiaries, advertising representatives and agents will have no liability whatsoever, and will be held harmless by contestants of any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the prizes or participation in this contest.

• Except where legally prohibited, by accepting the prize, the winner grants permission for The Citizen, its partners and those acting under its authority to use his or her name, photograph and/or likeness for advertising and/or publicity.

• No purchase is necessary to win. All contest rules and decisions are final. employees, members, affiliates and immediate family members of The Citizen, the Hugo Lions Club, city of Hugo and all contest sponsors and partners, are not eligible to win.
