In October, Ken Johnson of Hugo headed for Tanzania for 3 weeks to build a 24x28 medical clinic. Lake Area Bank helped sponsor the mission trip to the village of Piaya, 5 hours from Arusha. Guess who got to go along? Thanks for taking us to Africa, Ken!
Hugo’s very well-traveled Dorothea Zaiger is shown catching up on the hometown news with the Matterhorn behind her! Dorothea took a trip to Switzerland in early October and brought us along in her suitcase. What a great view!
The Citizen went on an early November sea cruise to Panama, Costa Rica and Belize with Barb and Doug Sparks of Hugo. We especially enjoyed the canal, the rain forests and the insight into the Mayan cultures of Central America. Here, Barb and Doug are pictured catching up on the election news in Port Limon.
