Impact On Centerville Project Schedules Yet Unknown

CENTERVILLE - At the Centerville City Council meeting on July 14, which is Bastille Day in France, council members in this historic French city saw red, waved the white flag—and looked blue.

The bids for two highly anticipated municipal projects, including a water connection project and a regional trail link project, recently came in substantially higher than expected in a time when council members say the city is not able to make up the cost difference.

HUGO / CENTERVILLE - The 2010 filing period for city offices in the cities of Hugo and Centerville begins on Tuesday, August 3 and ends on Tuesday, August 17, 2010. On the last day, affidavits of candidacy will be accepted until 5 p.m. at both city halls; the filing fee is $2.
