FOREST LAKE - On Jan. 7, Metro Transit began offering bus service from the new Forest Lake Transit Center, located north of Hugo along Highway 61, to downtown Minneapolis. Firstweek reports indicate that the service has at least thus far exceeded ridership expectations.

"We've been really surprised to see how many people have been using the Park-&-Ride up in Forest Lake," said Mike Rogers, Associate Transportation Planner for Washington County.
