"Frenchman Centre" Anticipated To Employ 96

HUGO - At its March 17 meeting, the Hugo Economic Development Authority discussed a site plan and Tax Increment Financing application received from Development Partners Hugo LLC for the End Zone property at 13891 Forest Boulevard North in Hugo.

Architectural drawings prepared by Caulfi eld Architectural Design of Woodbury have dubbed the $4 million commercial redevelopment project "Frenchman Centre."

Len Shimota unveiled his painting for the Hugo Historical Commission
last month.

HUGO - Len Shimota, a thirty-seven-year resident of Hugo, has never made peace with the cold here. "Winters are long; I hate cold weather, so I paint!" he says.

Inspired by his passion for reading history, the subjects of Len's paintings are usually historic personages and places. Len recently donated his newest piece, a painting of the Hugo Station depot, to the Hugo Historical Commission at their meeting of March 18.
