CENTERVILLE - The Centerville City Council has thrown its weight behind a movement opposed to a statewide cable franchising system.

Lino Council Adopts Five-Year Financial Plan

LINO LAKES - Five years is a long time to look into the financial future, but the Lino Lakes City Charter requires that the City Council do this once each year.

The city's Five-Year Financial Plan for the years 2008-2012 was adopted on Jan. 28 by a 3-1 vote. Council Member Jeff Reinert opposed and Council Member Dan Stoltz was absent.

Hugo Council Grants Extension To Sunset Shores

HUGO - The nationwide downturn in the housing market hasn't spared the Hugo-Centerville-Lino Lakes region, and evidence of this was on display at the Hugo City Council's Jan. 22 meeting, as council granted a two-and-a-half year extension to the Sunset Shores housing subdivision, planned for the rolling hills immediately southwest of Sunset Lake in Hugo.
