CENTERVILLE - The Centerville City Council has thrown its weight behind a movement opposed to a statewide cable franchising system.
At their Jan. 23 meeting, council members voted in favor of a resolution urging the Minnesota Legislature not to make any changes to the statute regulating cable television.

Hugo Council Grants Extension To Sunset Shores
HUGO - The nationwide downturn in the housing market hasn't spared the Hugo-Centerville-Lino Lakes region, and evidence of this was on display at the Hugo City Council's Jan. 22 meeting, as council granted a two-and-a-half year extension to the Sunset Shores housing subdivision, planned for the rolling hills immediately southwest of Sunset Lake in Hugo.
