Little Abbi’s Sudden Decline Puzzles Doctors

CENTERVILLE - The first thing anyone wants to know about Abbi is what’s wrong with her.

When Abbi’s parents, Kristi and Rob Starzynski, say they don’t know, people look at them in disbelief.

“Well, what do the doctors say?” they ask.

“They don’t know,” reply the Starzynskis.

The look of disbelief intensifies, and people start suggesting diagnoses of their own for the little girl who can‘t breathe on her own or sit up without being held.

Since March, the Starzynskis of Centerville have been seeking
answers on what is wrong with their daughter, Abbi. So far,
they’ve had no success.

Hugo Downtown TIF District On Hold Until Next Year

City Waits For Projects To Come Together

HUGO - On June 16, Hugo's Economic Development Authority recommended that the city not certify the proposed downtown Tax Increment Financing district before the end of the month. June 30 is the last date for the city to certify the district for collection of taxes for 2009; as a consequence, according to city staff , certification will likely be put on hold until at least next year.

"You need to have a project [to certify the district], and we don't have a project right now," said City Administrator Mike Ericson, when reached for comment.

HealthEast Clinic, Lake Area Bank Break Ground In Hugo

HUGO - Five weeks after the Hugo City Council approved the final plat for the "Frenchman Place First Addition" development on Everton Avenue in Hugo, HealthEast representatives broke ground for a new medical clinic.

Two weeks later, Lake Area Bank held a groundbreaking ceremony for their new 5,000 square foot facility.

"Partnership" Moves Mountains Much of the earthwork on the HealthEast site, however, had already been done by the time the shovels bit the dirt on that hot Wednesday afternoon, June 25.
