The Hugo City Council has scheduled the following meetings:

Tuesday, November 18, 2008 Phases of Disaster Presentation and Discussion at the Oneka Elementary School at 5:45 p.m.

Thursday, December 4, 2008 Holiday Party at American Legion at 6:00 p.m.

Thursday, December 11, 2008 I-35 W/E Coalition meeting at the Running Aces at 6:00 p.m.

Friday, December 19, 2008 Lake Area Bank Grand Opening at 11:00 a.m.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend these meetings.

RICE CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Rice Creek Watershed District (RCWD) will hold a public hearing regarding RCWD proposed Lino Lakes Resource Management Plan (RMP) Rule RMP-3 on November 26, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the Shoreview City Council Chambers, 4600 North Victoria Street, Shoreview, MN. This rule will apply only to the geographic area of the city of Lino Lakes encompassed by the Resource Management Plan. RICE CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT HARDWOOD CREEK TMDL FINAL PUBLIC STAKEHOLDER MEETING

November 20, 2008

Hardwood Creek is listed as “Impaired” by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. The impairment is associated with a lack of a healthy biological community.

A Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) study has been developed to address the impairment; this meeting will review the study. We will discuss the causes of the impairment, and our strategy for addressing these causes. The meeting will be held Thursday, November 20, 2008, 6:30 P.M. at Hugo’s Rice Lake Centre, 7032 137th Street N., Hugo, MN 55038.
