This Issue's Statistic: There was one incident of possible criminal sexual conduct in Hugo since our last publication.

Adding A Little Mystery: There was a loud boom that shook someone's residence in the 5000 block of 150th St. N. on June 12 at 7:40 p.m. Deputies investigated but concluded that the noise was "a mystery."

Sinking Fast: Two males stole an anchor from a boat in the 7000 block of 165th St. N. on June 13 at 11:46 a.m. The complainant followed the individuals and told police that they could be found sitting in a canoe.

Taking The Plunge: At 2:48 p.m. on June 13 a submerged vehicle was reported in the detention pond at Elmcrest Ave. N. and Rosemary Way N. Th e complainant told police that the vehicle had been underwater for a "long time" and due to the complexity of the recovery process, their insurance company was having a diver come out to assist. City Hall was contacted.

No Kids Allowed?: There was a complaint against some juveniles at Victor Hugo Blvd. N. in Victor Gardens on June 13 at 9:23 p.m. The complainant did not think juveniles should be in the building but the offi cers on scene responded that it was indeed okay for them to be there.

It's No Picnic: There was a picnic table in the middle of Egg Lake Rd. N. just east of Flay Ave. N. on June 14 at 3:48 a.m.

Is The Search Drying Up?: Someone threw some caulk against a wall of Hugo Elementary School on Francesca Ave. N. on June 14 at 7:55 a.m. Th e school was having some playground equipment installed and wanted to request extra patrol.

No Title For Magazine: Some bullets were located in a hidden compartment of a vehicle in the 5000 block of 149th St. N. on June 14 at 10 a.m. The owner had sold the vehicle in 2003 and the new owners had not registered the title in their name. There was some suspected drug activity associated with the vehicle in 2003 after the sale, so it was seized by police and returned to the original owner. The original owner found the old magazine in a secret place in the car and wanted it reported.

Eight Is Enough: There were eight llamas in the roadway, posing a traffic hazard at 170th St. N. and Keystone Ave. N. on June 17 at 7 a.m. When the offi cers arrived on-scene, the llamas had returned to pasture.

Somewhere Out There: A wallet was found "somewhere in Hugo" at 1:02 p.m. on June 17. Getting Benched: A bench and a rock were thrown into a pool in the 14000 block of Finale Ave. N. on June 19 at 7:58 a.m. There was no damage to the bench or the area.

Not Pulling Their Chain: A chain saw, an ice fishing pole, a fish locator and a cordless drill were taken from a barn on Finale Ave. N. and 146th St. N. on June 19 at 11:06 a.m. The items were valued at $800.

Off The Wall (And Out Of Range): There was a burglary/ theft report without forced entry at 1:39 p.m. on June 19 at Goodview Ave. N. and Egg Lake Rd. N. The complainant saw someone loading appliances into a truck and leaving. They remembered after phoning the sheriff that their insurance company was coming to assess some water damage due to a broken pipe but didn't know when the report was made that the insurance company was removing the items.

Following in Their Footsteps: Someone was hearing voices and footsteps on all sides of their home in the 8100 block of 120th St. N. on June 19 at 10:43 p.m. Police investigated but no one was located.

Cutting It Out: Someone was mowing a lawn at 10:51 p.m. on June 19 at 170th St. between Henna and Ingersoll.

In The Spotlight: Someone was seen driving down a driveway with a large spotlight mounted on their car in the 12000 block of Ingersoll Ave. N. on June 19 at 11:10 p.m. It turns out it was a deputy checking the area from another incident that was called in earlier.

Low Energy: Someone called in about a suspicious person in the 6000 block of 146th St. N. on June 22 at 11:07 a.m. It turned out that it was someone from Xcel Energy.


Lino Lakes Police Reports


This Issue's Statistic: There was one incident for violation of limitations on the operation of a recreational motor vehicle since our last publication.

Pumping Them For Information: Someone entered a business in the 400 block of Lilac St. sometime on June 13 and removed a water pump.

High Maintenance?: There was a report of burglary in the 700 block of Aqua Lane on June 13 sometime during nighttime hours. Someone entered a maintenance shop and damaged some property and removed some items.

Giving It A Whirl: Three wheel rims were taken from a yard in the 700 block of 62nd Ave. during night hours on June 14.

The Key To Contacting The Owner: Some keys were found in the 500 block of Chippewa Trail at 11:30 a.m. on June 14. They were placed in the property room until they are claimed by the owner.

Groundbreaking Events: A subwoofer, an amplifier and a stereo were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of Lonesome Pine Trail on June 15 sometime during the night. Another subwoofer, stereo and amplifi er were taken from a vehicle that same night in the 300 block of Oak Hollow Lane.

Coin-cident: An unknown suspect forced entry through a window of a business in the 6500 block of Ware Rd. on June 16 and removed some cash and coins at 1:37 a.m.

Shooting The Breeze: Someone was shooting a BB gun out of an open window of a residence in the 6500 block of 24th Ave. S. on June 16 at 2:50 p.m.

Getting Played: A DVD player, a phone and some gift cards were taken from a residence in the 700 block of Country Lakes Dr. at 9:35 p.m. on June 17.

Another Clothing Line: Two 16-year-old females were arrested for shoplift ing some clothing in the 700 block of Apollo Dr. on June 17 at 7:40 p.m.

Hopes Are Not Riding On It: A 19-year-old male was cited in the 500 block of Lonesome Pine Tr. at 8:43 p.m. on June 19 for operating a motorized bike on a city trail. A 20-year-old male was also cited for underage possession of alcohol and underage consumption.

No Walk In The Park: A 19-year-old female was cited in the 100 block of Glenview Dr. at 1:21 a.m. on June 20 for parking in a city park after hours.


Centerville Police Reports


What Really Gets Your Motor Running: There were two thefts of boat motors in Centerville since our last publication. A trolling motor and several gas cans were taken from a boat in the 300 block of Forest Dr. before June 13. An outboard motor was reported stolen from a boat on East Golden Lake Rd on June 16.

.Like A Fish Needs A Bicycle?: There were two reports of bike thefts in Centerville since our last publication. One was taken at 1:14 p.m. on June 12 from the 4000 block of Woodland Rd. and the other was taken at 12 noon on the same day from the 8000 block of Pascal Ave.

The Idea Was Canned: Some aluminum cans were stolen from an enclosure in the 10000 block of Lake Dr. at 7:56 a.m. on June 19.
