Grilled More Than Once: There were more four complaints on three separate days about suspicious activity at The End Zone Bar & Grill on Forest Blvd. N. since our last publication. The owner had been cleaning out some items from the business.

Rung Out: At 2:57 p.m. on April 25 there was a report that some trucks on the side of the street in the 5100 block of Fairpoint Dr. N. were causing a traffic problem. The vehicles apparently had several ladders protruding out of them. Officers located these trucks and found that they were parked legally in a driveway.

A-sign-meant To Be Found: At 7:52 p.m. on April 25 there was a theft report in the 7000 block of 177th St. N. Two 4 x 8 plywood signs and two posts used to warn neighbors to use only their parking lights in this area were taken. The complainant reported that he has been trying for months to reduce the number of times that headlights from neighboring property shine into the windows of his house.

Golden Rule: A palomino horse was found at large near Hwy 61 at 9:52 a.m. on April 26. The horse was being kept at the caller's paddock in the 4800 block of 165th St. N. until the owner can be located.

Bean' Conscientious: At 2:58 p.m. on April 26 the Sheriff's office received a call about a party in the 5400 block of 159th Alcove N. Apparently the caller was just letting officers know that there would be an annual chili feed there later that evening.

Better Half Your Eyes Checked: There was a hunting complaint at 7:11 p.m. on April 28 in the 15000 block of Elmcrest Ave. N. just behind Festival Foods. The land had "No Trespassing" signs clearly posted, yet someone was still spotted roaming on the property. The caller called back when she realized the individual was her husband.

Floored By The Outcome: A suspicious vehicle was reported in the parking lot of the Blacksmith Lounge on Forest Blvd. N. at midnight on April 29. Deputies found that there were some people there working on the floor behind the bar and that all appeared okay.

Time To Set Up A Chain Lock: Someone put a large grandfather clock and a lamp into a garage in the 14000 block of Forest Blvd. N. at 9:55 a.m. on April 29. The complainant thought that they would get a chain lock in order to prevent future dumping.

Had An Ink-ling That Something Was Awry: A suspicious person came into a school office building at 11:21 a.m. on May 2 in the 14000 block of Francesca Ave. N. and asked the school employees if they had any ink cartridges to donate. This man appeared to be looking at the other office equipment in the building and the copy machines.

Left Out In Left Field: A suspicious blue Saturn was reported in the 12000 block of Illies Ave. N. at 11:37 a.m. on May 3. It had been on private property for three hours and a note was put on the car and the owner was told he could tow. It turned out that it belonged to some field workers and that it was okay for it to be there.

Story Holds Water?: There was a report of an overturned pontoon boat in the northbound lanes on Forest Blvd. N. at 170th St. N. at 5:19 p.m. on May 4. The boat was supposedly blocking traffic. The boat was gone upon police arrival but deputies did find a wet spot at the intersection.

Raising A Stink: Some juveniles were reportedly causing some destruction of a port-o-potty in the 14000 block of Fitzgerald Ave. N. at 5:17 p.m. on May 8. Deputies were unable to locate these individuals.

More Than A Breath Of Fresh Air?: Some juveniles were supposedly throwing water balloons from a bus window at Forest Blvd. N. and 130th St. N. at 2:44 p.m. on May 9.


Lino Lakes Police Reports

Inspired By Penny Lane, Blue Jay Way And Abbey Road?: On April 29 three street signs were stolen from various places in Lino Lakes. One was located and returned but the other two still have not been located.

Not Letting This Slide: There was a damage to property report on April 29 in the 100 block of Elm St. Someone damaged a wooden bench, some tire swings, ten bars of a swing set, and also spray-painted a slide with graffiti.

Attracting The Wrong Kind Of Copper: Some unknown suspects removed some copper piping and a valve from a pump house in the 7200 block of Savannah Court sometime during the past month. This was reported on April 30.

Not Such A Hot Idea: A 41-year-old male was cited for burning a large pile of leaves in the 6800 block of Sunset Road at 11:20 a.m. on May 6.
