Off-Road Vehicle?: On Oct. 24 at 10:27 p.m. someone reported that a Volkswagen station wagon was driving on the walking path on Forest Blvd. N. near 170th St. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

The Lights Are On But Nobody’s Home: A resident in the 12000 block of Greystone Ave. N., reported seeing lights on in a vacant home on Oct. 27. Officers gained entry through a rear door and were unable to locate any suspects, but observed a life-size Hannah Montana cardboard cutout that had been vandalized.

A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Post Offce: Somebody discovered that a TV/DVD combo, a fish tank, an electric scooter, and some PVC tubing had been dumped at the Hugo Post Office on Oct. 28.

Line Dancing Can Be Dangerous: A boom truck working on Geneva Ave. N. hit a power line on Oct. 28 at 10:22 a.m. The downed lines were sparking and power in the area was out. Residents were notified to stay away from the lines and Xcel energy was contacted.

Getting Wired: Somebody removed 12-2500’ rolls of electrical wire, 12 extension cords, and a wheelbarrow from a new construction site in the 14000 block of Everton Ave N. on Oct. 29.

What Do They Stand For?: On Nov. 1 at 1:18 p.m. four males wearing leather jackets were seen standing on their motorcycles while driving down 170th St. N.

Out-of-Doors?: Somebody stole the door off a bobcat on Nov. 3 on Everton Ave. and Frenchman Rd. Th e door was valued at $600.


Centerville Police Reports


Taken (By) The Cleaners?: A resident in the 7000 block of 20th Ave. hired a carpet cleaning company on Oct. 21. When the cleaners left the home, a battery-powered trim nailer was missing from the porch. Officer contacted the employee, who denied that he had taken it. Complainant was advised to watch Craigslist and local pawn shops for the nailer.

(No More) Signs Of The Times: On Oct. 18 at 9:20 p.m. a resident on Dupré Rd. reported that three presidential campaign signs had been stolen from the yard over the course of two weeks. A political sign for the same candidate was taken from a home in the 1600 block of Peltier Lake Dr. on Oct. 23.

They Couldn’t Leaf It Alone: A business in the 2000 block of Main St. reported a theft on Oct. 15 at 11:24 a.m. Missing was a backpack leaf blower, a push mower, two construction radios, a chop saw and about 100 gallons of gasoline from the tanks on the premises. Some tracks were detected in the field behind the business. There are no suspects.

What Do You Want On Your Tombstone?: A resident in the 7000 block of Mill Rd. reported that somebody had tampered with his Halloween decorations on Oct. 16. An artificial tombstone valued at $1.00 was stolen from the yard.

See No Evil Spirits, Hear No Evil Spirits: On Oct. 29 a resident in the 7000 block of Peterson Trl. reported that somebody had cut the wires on the Halloween lights in the yard. A wire cutter was used. Damage was estimated at $20. No suspects were seen or heard.

They Did Mean To Pry: Sometime between Oct. 25 and Oct. 26 someone used a pry bar to break into a vehicle in the 1600 block of Lakeland Cir. The window was broken and there were pry marks on the trim around the window. Missing was a cell phone valued at $500, 2 pairs of designer sunglasses valued at $315 and a planner, valued at $80.

Lino Lakes Police Reports


Lost His Shirt(s): Officers responded to a report of shoplift - ing on Oct. 23 in the 700 block of Apollo Dr. They arrested an 18- year-old male from Lino Lakes who was attempting to steal a GPS, digital camera and two shirts. The male was transported to the Anoka County Jail for gross misdemeanor theft charges.

Steeling Their Thunder: On Oct. 28 police responded to a theft report that occurred in the 500 block of Apollo Dr. An unknown suspect(s) removed 40 sheets of steel from a dumpster at an unknown time.

They Got Game: On Oct. 29 an unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked vehicle in the 1400 block of Pheasant Hills Dr. and removed a backpack, Nintendo DS and miscellaneous CD’s some time during the night hours.

They Want Their Quarterback!: A vehicle parked in the 1400 block of Pheasant Hills Drive was broken into sometime during the night hours on Oct. 29. Missing was a laptop computer, video Ipod and approximately $40 in quarters.

Leave It To Beaver: On Oct. 31 somebody removed from 3 to 5 beaver traps from a yard in the 700 block of Aqua Lane. Police have no suspects.

In Hot Purse-Suit: Sometime during the night hours on Nov. 2, someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Lonesome Pine Tr. and removed a purse containing $200. In the same evening, another vehicle in the 500 block of Linden Lane was also broken into. A purse and its contents were taken.

Way Off Bass: Sometime during the night hours on Nov. 2, a vehicle parked in the 500 block of Lonesome Pine Trail was broken into and a stereo was removed.
