Trying To Rob 'Em Blind: On April 6 at 5:57 p.m. someone in the 6000 block of 146th St. N. attempted to break into a work trailer of a company that cleans blinds. Th e suspect caused $400 worth of damage to the front door but did not succeed in getting entry to the business.

White Bear Now In Hugo: At 5:46 p.m. on April 7 someone stole two white bear lawn ornaments worth $300 from a residence in the 15000 block of Falcon Circle N. Th ese were later located at 8:15 a.m. on April 16 in the 14000 block of Foxhill Ave. N. Due to their weight, there was a call to have the owners come out to identify them.

Whooooooo Did That?: A road obstruction was called in at 10:10 p.m. on April 7 at Frenchman Rd. and Otter Lake Rd. A dead owl was located in the driving lane of the street.

Luck Of The Irish (Ave): At 8:12 p.m. on April 8 someone reported a suspicious vehicle on Irish Ave. N. near Wild Wings. Deputies located several adults sitting in a truck listening to music and advised them to move along.

Reflection Of Character: Some driveway markers were taken from the end of a driveway in the 15000 block of Fairoaks Ave. N. at 10:55 p.m. on April 12. There are no suspects at this time.

Close Call: A suspicious vehicle was reportedly sitting in the parking lot of a business in the 14000 block of Victor Hugo Blvd. N. at 9:19 p.m. on April 14. The driver in question turned out to have been talking on their cell phone for 40 minutes. (Wait a minute ~ don't we want people to pull over when they are talking on the phone?!)

Not Very Saintly Behavior: Someone threw a 15-pound brick at a car from the church parking lot in the 14000 block of Forest Blvd. N. and shattered the windshield of a vehicle at 4:13 p.m. on April 15.

A Clean Sweep: At 2:40 p.m. on April 16 someone called to request a check of the area on Hwy 61 along the railroad tracks. A Bobcat and a sweeper had been stolen and they wanted to see if there were any leads.

Bullheaded: A bulldog escaped and was at large on 157th St. N. near 157th Way N. at 9:45 a.m. on April 18.

A Hole 'Nuther Story: Someone reported some suspicious activity in the 4000 block of 170th St. N. at 10:06 a.m. on April 18. The complainant thought that someone had shot some bullet holes into their garage but it turned out to be screw holes instead.

Barn To Be Cruel: Some suspicious activity was reported in the 4000 block of 165th St. N. at 3:11 p.m. on April 18. Two juvenile males had backed a blue Honda into a driveway, parked for two minutes, made some possible obscene hand gestures, and then taken off toward the complainant's barn. Deputies told the complainant to call if there was any further unusual activity.

In One's Hair: An alarm went off at a hair salon on Victor Hugo Blvd. N. at 11:55 p.m. on April 18. It turned out that the alarm had been accidentally triggered by the person who cleaned the fl oors there, but this person had the proper alarm code so dispatch was cancelled.

A Clean Break: At 3:45 p.m. on April 19 there was a juvenile complaint at Oneka Lake Park. Six to seven juveniles had apparently been vandalizing the bathroom and climbing on the roof. One had knocked down a hand sanitizer dispenser. Washington County deputies met with the mother of the individual responsible for this act and it was agreed that the juvenile would replace the soap holder.

Unable To Chill: At 10:37 p.m. on April 20 there was a call about some suspicious noise at 130th St. N. just west of Hwy 61. A loud squealing sound had been heard which turned out to be an air conditioner unit. Hugo Public Works was notified for follow-up.

Start-watch: Someone called about getting some information on how to start a neighborhood watch group in the 4000 block of Fable Hill Pkwy N. at 4:44 p.m. on April 21.

Par For The Course: A motion alarm went off at 8:14 p.m. on April 21 at Oneka Ridge Golf Course. The dispatch was cancelled prior to arrival.

It's Snow Joke: On April 17 there was a report of a burglary in the 6100 block of Hodgson Rd. Someone had removed an aluminum snowmobile trailer during nighttime hours.

Tuned Out To Civilized Behavior: In the nighttime hours of April 17 someone entered an open garage in the 6600 block of White Birch Court and removed some cash, a debit card, and an IPOD from an unlocked vehicle. Another IPOD was stolen, along with an FM transmitter, from a car in the 700 block of Apollo Dr. on April 23 during night hours.

More Bars Than They Bargained For: Police responded to a theft from a motor vehicle and damage to property report in the night hours on April 23. An unknown suspect apparently entered a motor vehicle in the 500 block of Apollo Dr. by breaking the passenger side window and then removed a Treo phone/PDA from the vehicle. The next day, officers received a call from the Duluth Police Department. Offi cers there had arrested two individuals for theft of a motor vehicle. In their possession was the Treophone/PDA.
