Hugo Police Reports


This Issue's Statistic: There is one case of fifth degree sexual misconduct with a juvenile in Hugo since our last publication.

The Hard-Driving Truth: A 14-year-old female was cited at midnight on October 12 at County Rd. 7 and Goodview after she was caught driving her family's vehicle. Her father was contacted.

No News Is Good News?: At 7:26 p.m. on October 13, someone in the 4900 block of Emmit Dr. N. called to report a suspicious person. This individual was giving away free newspapers (it wasn't us!).

They Went Free As The Birds: Vandalism was reported in the 4900 block of 124th St. Circle N. at 8:16 a.m. on October 14. Someone had rotated some exterior lights, moved some landscape rocks and placed the bird feeder upside down. There had been a party nearby the night before with at least 15 people present.

A Recipe For Disaster: Two men were reportedly shuffl ing 12 catalytic converters in the Festival Foods parking lot on Victor Hugo Blvd. N. on October 17 at 1:17 p.m. Some were later recovered at NRI.

Not Lying On The Grass: Someone reported an incident of vandalism in the 4000 block of Fable Hill Pkwy. N. on October 18 at 9:01 a.m. Someone had driven over the front yard more than four times and left marks on the grass.

The Dirt On The Vandalism: Twelve mailboxes were damaged in the 17000 block of Ingersoll Ave. N. on October 18. Someone identifi ed a driver and offi cers located three juveniles in muddy clothes. Their parents were contacted.

Rotten Behavior: A pumpkin was thrown at a windshield in the 13000 block of Europa Tr. N. on October 18 at 10:51 p.m. White Out: At 11:45 a.m. on October 20 someone from the 15000 block of Foxhill Ave. N. called to report that their pickup had been spotted with white paint but that they had been able to wash it off.

Don't Sit Back And Do Nothing: A couch was found in the middle of Forest Blvd. N. near 150th St. N. on October 21 at 9:36 p.m. MnDOT was contacted to pick it up.

The Early Bird Does Not Catch The Worm: There was a call at 2:29 p.m. on October 23. Someone in the 7000 block of 177th St. N. was concerned about the construction starting too early and causing a disturbance. Officers let the caller know that the city was aware of this issue already and that it was legal for the construction crew to begin at 7 a.m.

I Swear It Will Stop: There was a neighbor complaint in the 5000 block of Evergreen Dr. N. on October 23 at 8:40 p.m. The caller said that her neighbor had been yelling profanities and that her young child had heard these. Police told her to contact her association and to try to videotape it for proof if it happened again.

Graveling For Them To Do Something: Someone in the 8400 block of 147th St. N. called at 10:30 a.m. on October 29 to report that someone kept spinning their tires at the end of their driveway and getting gravel everywhere.

Ar-rest Room: Someone called to report a suspicious male who was knocking on doors in the 13000 block of Europa Tr. N. on October 29 at 9:47 p.m. and asking to use the bathroom.

Found In The Heat Of The Moment: A wallet was found at the entrance to the Hugo Fire Hall on October 30 at 4:40 p.m. The wallet was returned to the owner, who had already canceled all the cards after losing it at the Holiday station.


Lino Lakes Police Reports


This Issue's Statistic: There was one juvenile found unconscious in Lino Lakes from alcohol since our last publication. She was transported to the hospital and cited for underage consumption.

Treated Like Dirt: Someone broke a window of a truck and a backhoe in the 7300 block of Lake Dr. sometime during nighttime hours on October 10. Th ere are no suspects at this time.

Not Warming To The Idea: On October 10, someone climbed on top of the warming house in Sunrise Park, in the 6900 block of Sunrise Dr., and damaged the vents. Up-Lift ing Film: An unknown suspect entered an unsecured residence in the 8000 block of Lake Drive on October 11 during daytime hours. The suspect then removed 120 DVDs.

Going Off At The Right Suspect: A juvenile brought fireworks to Centennial Middle School in the 300 block of Elm St. at 1:28 p.m. on October 11.

Fight Club?: A group of juveniles were seen fighting in the 300 block of Elm St. at 5:50 p.m. on October 12. Someone was standing by and videotaping the rumble. Six juveniles were given citations for disorderly conduct and then released to their parents.

Not By The (Phone) Book: There was a report of suspicious activity in the 600 block of Lois Lane on October 15. Three people who were delivering phone books were seen looking into resident windows. A 41-year-old male was arrested for two outstanding warrants and taken to jail.

Generating Police Reports: It was reported on October 15 that a generator was removed from a garage in the 6300 block of Red Maple Lane.

Not In This Case: A laptop computer was taken from a residence in the 900 block of James St. during daytime hours on October 19.

Going Red: An adult male was given a ticket at 4:56 p.m. on October 19 for parking too close to a fire hydrant.

Siding With The Police On This One: Fifteen to thirty boxes of house siding and fascia was removed from a driveway in the 400 block of Lonesome Pine Tr. during the night of October 24.

Not Pulling Your Chain (saw): Four chainsaws were removed from a residence in the 700 block of Lois Lane on October 26 during nighttime hours.

A Scary Experience: Some Halloween decorations were taken from a yard in the 7000 block of Mourning Dove Rd. on the night of October 27.

They Really Back This Up: On October 30 it was reported that a ten-inch aluminum Sledbed two-piece snowmobile trailer was taken from a parking lot in the 500 block of Apollo Dr.


Centerville Police Reports


This Issue's Statistic: There was one incident of a report of stolen gasoline in Centerville since our last publication. This occurred on Main St. on October 3 at 9:23 a.m.

Not Lowering The Bar: There was a citation given to an underage drinker at Main St. and 20th Ave. on September 29 at 1:05 a.m.

Tuned Out: There was a radio reported stolen from a vehicle on October 2 at 10:49 a.m. in the 7000 block of Brian Drive.
