Something Of Note: On Oct. 24 at 8:57 a.m. someone called to report that a note had been left on their vehicle. The note angrily stated that they were going to be turned in to the state patrol for reckless driving. Police informed the receiver of the note to call 911 if they experienced any more road rage and to also drive safely.
A Dark And Stormy Night: At 11:3 a.m. on Oct. 4 someone called to request extra patrol for a "Frightful Night at Lakeview Farm," a party where K102 had a live band for Halloween.
Where The Rubber Hits The Road: Some tires were reported to have been ditched on the side of the road at the intersection of 170th and Kirby at :36 a.m. on Oct. 5.
Not Cutting It: A knife was found at the intersection of 147th and Forest Blvd. N. on Oct. 26 at 11:10 p.m. The weapon was entered into evidence to be destroyed.
Bass' Bad Rap: There were two noise complaints about loud music since our last publication. One was on Oct. 27 at 3:30 p.m. when a loud bass was reported to have been playing for 30 minutes in the 13000 block of Europa Trail Way N. The other was at midnight on Oct. 29 on Everton Ave. N.
Efforts To De-Side: Two males took a bunch of two-by- fours and other items from two construction sites in the 15000 block of Farnham Ave. N. on Oct. at 1:01 a.m. They then headed out on the road past the alley with the siding materials.
Tooting One's Own Horn: A car horn was blaring for ten minutes behind an apartment building in the 5600 block of 147th St. N. in Oct. 30 at 6:0 a.m. When police arrived, the owner had turned it off.
Bumper Stick-y: At :16 a.m. on Oct. 30, someone threw red paint on the bumper of a truck and on a driveway in the 6200 block of 151st St. N. The damage was considered "mini- mal" because the value of the truck was considered "mini- mal."
Heavy Metal: A stainless steel door on a dishwasher and a fridge, as well as a stainless steel sink and counter top were taken from the closed and vacant End Zone bar in the 13000 block of Forest Blvd. N. on Oct. 30 at 2:10 p.m. The cooler on the roof appeared to have been tampered with. On Oct. 21 there had been an attempted burglary of scrap aluminum, where a K-9 was used. A man was arrested for suspicion of theft and a woman who was with him was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
Pigeon-Toed: A pigeon with a yellow band around its foot was found under the pump- kin display at Festival Foods in the 14000 block of Victor Hugo Blvd. N. at 4:51 p.m. on Oct. 30. Animal Control was contacted.
Where's The Keg? 'Er.: At 12:17 p.m. on Oct. 31, a man was seen riding a bicycle at the intersection of Forest Blvd. N. and 148th St. N. with two emp- ty kegs covered in garbage bags hanging off the handle bars. When asked what he was doing, he told police that he was tak- ing them to a local recycler to recycle them. The on-scene officer asked him why he was not returning them to the owner. He said that he got the kegs from his brother-in-law but that they didn't belong to him. The kegs had Bud labels all over them so it was hard to find any contact information. Police confiscated the kegs until the rightful owner was located.
Lino Lakes Police Reports
Setting The Wheels In Motion: On Oct. 14 police responded to a report of a theft of a three-wheeler from a yard in the 100 block of Lilac St.
It Doesn't Compute: There were two reports of stolen computers since our last publication. During the night hours on Oct. 16, someone damaged a window on a van in the 1600 block of Ash Street and removed two Dell computer laptops. On Oct. 21 in the evening someone entered a locked building in the 7900 block of Lake Dr. and removed three Dell monitors and servers. An estimated value was not available at the time.
Force To Be Reckoned With: A 25-year-old male was arrested on Oct. 19 for fourth degree assault against a police offi cer and for a gross misdemeanor for obstructing the legal process with force. The male was transported to the Anoka County jail for booking. Cyclic Result: An abandoned bike was found in the 7000 block of Sunrise Dr. at 4:37 p.m. on Oct. 19. The Huffy was reported stolen last issue and has now been placed in the Lino Lakes property room until claimed.
Amplifying The Damage: Someone broke into a vehicle in the 7100 block of Snow Owl Lane on Oct. 20 and removed an amplifier.
His Guard Was Up: A driver lost control of a vehicle after hitting an icy spot and struck a guard rail in the 2200 block of Main St. at 5:19 a.m. on Oct. 23. No injuries were reported.
A Brief Case: At :03 p.m. on Oct. 24, offi cers responded to a theft of a briefcase from a vehicle in the 1100 block of Main Street. When police arrived, the suspect was seen fleeing from the scene. The officers apprehended the suspect and arrested him for felony possession of stolen property, fleeing a police offi cer and obstructing the legal process. The suspect was linked to a past burglary in Centerville, a theft in Lino Lakes, and a theft in Columbus Township.
Diverging Plates: A 22- year-old male was cited on Oct. 26 in the 6000 block of Otter Lake Rd. at 8:38 p.m. for possession of drug paraphernalia, no proof of insurance, and having the wrong plates on his motor vehicle. On Oct. 28, a 24- year-old driver was cited in the 100 block of Main St. at 2:10 a.m. for no proof of insurance and an illegal plate cover. A 17-year-old passenger was also cited in the second case for underage consumption.
