This Issue's Statistic: There was one lightening strike reported in Hugo since our last publication.

Giving a Wedding Ring: Someone called the Washington County Sheriff 's office on Aug. 11 at 1:28 p.m. to let the police know that there would be a wedding party (for the wedding party) in the 7200 block of 125th St. N. Th ey were going to have a DJ with music.

Not So Great Eggspectations: Someone threw some eggs at a squad car at 125th St. N. and Forest Blvd. N. on Aug. 12 at 2:26 a.m. The offi cer saw an individual running, but did not apprehend anyone.

Boomobiling: There was a noise complaint at 7:11 p.m. on Aug. 12 in the 12000 block of Fiona Rd. N. Th e complainant said that their neighbors had a motocross track on their property and that the snowmobiles were very loud on the track. Th e owner told officers that they were just testing out the racing quad. According to the sheriff 's report, no laws were broken.

Raising the Stakes: Some juveniles were heading toward a lake at 126th St. N. and Europa Ave. N. on Aug. 15 at 3:19 a.m. and were seen pulling up construction stakes.

Dampening the Mood: A sprinkler was spurting water .25 miles west of Forest Blvd. N. near 145th St. N. on Aug. 19 at 5:49 p.m. Public Works was contacted.

Stuck With a Citation: Two motor vehicles were stuck in the road in the 12000 block of Ethan Ave. N. on Aug. 19 at 9:05 p.m. They had ignored the signs that stated that the road was closed to thru traffic. Citations were given to three individuals for driving around the barricade.

Monitoring the Evidence: Some computer components were found while someone was walking in the 13000 block of Goodview Ave. N. on Aug. 23 at 2:19 p.m.

Under Surveillance: Some juveniles were seen and heard under the pavilion in Lions Park at 11:06 p.m. on Aug. 23. Th ey were gone on arrival.

Burglary Attempt: Th ere was an attempted burglary at midnight on Aug. 24 west of 145th St. N. and Finale. There was a broken window and damaged screen door but according to the sheriff 's report, nothing else was damaged.

Braking for a Cause: Someone was braking in front of a residence in the 5500 block of 146th St. N. at 7:16 a.m. on Aug. 24. When asked what he was doing, the driver said he was waiting for a friend.

Keyed Up: Someone keyed a motor vehicle in the Subway parking lot on 147th St. N. at 12:45 p.m. on Aug. 24.

Assault: A Comcast employee was assaulted by someone in the 5100 block of 158th St. while installing service on Aug. 24. The homeowner became angry and questioned the work order. The employee suffered minor injuries aft er slipping while trying to get away.

That Bugs!: Someone in the 17000 block of Henna Ave. N. called at 11:48 a.m. on Aug. 25 to complain about a mosquito control helicopter.

Christening the New Home?: Three vehicles were parked in a dead end in the 15000 block of Goodview Ave. N. on Aug. 25 at 1:11 p.m. The vehicle owners entered a home that was listed for sale. Officers found some juveniles in the home, who said it was their parents' new rental house. Th ey were given citations for underage consumption.

Going to Waste: Someone called about a sewer problem in the 15000 block of Forest Blvd. N. on Aug. 25 at 7:45 p.m. A city line was plugged and all the cleanout pits were full. Public Works was notified.

Strange Cuss: A male pounded on the door to a residence in the 13000 block of Goodview Ave. N. at 1:06 a.m. on Aug. 26. When the complainant opened the door, the man swore at him and left the area.

"Losing My Religion?": Two 50-year-olds were supposedly going door-to-door claiming to be Jehovah Witnesses in the 13000 block of 135th Ct. N. on Aug. 27 at 11:50 a.m. Police were unable to locate the individuals.

More Than a Square to Spare: Someone's home was toilet-papered at 10:39 p.m. on Aug. 28 in the 9200 block of 122nd St. N. Overrun in the 'Hood: Someone called to complain that the hood of his or her vehicle had been vandalized in the 15000 block of Forest Blvd. N. on Aug. 30 at 4:16 p.m. Someone had run up and down over the vehicle.

Breathlessly Waiting: An adult male was arrested on Aug. 15 at 11:08 p.m. in the 900 block of Main St. aft er receiving a 4th degree DWI.

Throwing Away Their Reputation?: Th ree males were arrested in the 600 block of Apollo Dr. at 5:12 a.m. on Aug. 16 for littering, having an open bottle and disorderly conduct.

The driver of the vehicle was also arrested for 4th degree DWI. In Passing: A male was cited for passing in a no passing zone in the 6500 block of 24th Ave. at 7:19 p.m. on Aug. 16.

What Was Driving This Thief?: An unknown suspect entered a vehicle during the night of Aug. 16 in the 6300 block of Holly Dr. and removed a set of golf clubs.

Shed Some Info: Some construction equipment was removed from a locked shed in the 300 block of Elm St. sometime on Aug. 17.

Eliminating Crime: An adult male was cited for indecent exposure aft er he was observed urinating on the roadway in the 700 block of Main St. at 1:16 a.m. on Aug. 18.

False Positive: A 21-year-old male was arrested for giving false information to a police offi cer, a gross misdemeanor, and for driving after suspension in the 300 block of Elm St. on Aug. 19 at 10:55 p.m.

No Return Address: A 19-year-old female without a permanent address was arrested for giving false information to police, underage consumption and possession of a small amount of marijuana at midnight on Aug. 20.

Lights Out for Nights Out: Two juvenile males were cited for curfew violation and underage consumption at 12:10 a.m. on Aug. 22 in the 6300 block of Red Hawk Trail.

Pump and Run: Someone stole $28.00 worth of gas in the 7600 block of Lake Dr. at 12:44 a.m. on Aug. 22. Th e suspect was driving a white Chevy Avalanche.

Like a Ton of Bricks: Someone threw a brick through a window of a residence in the 100 block of Gladstone Dr. on Aug. 24 at 11:26 p.m. Disturbing the Peace: Police responded to a noise complaint of loud and disturbing mini bikes in the 7700 block of Pinto Lane at 5:42 a.m. on Aug. 27. Three males were located, informed of the city ordinance and instructed to cease activity.
