Complaints Were Skyrocketing: There were 20 noise complaints involving fireworks since our last publication.
Dog Pound.Or Pound Dog?: There was a complaint that a dog that was being kept in an unlocked barn in the 6000 block of 177th St. N. had some blood on it. Police investigated at 9:05 a.m. on June 21 and saw the blood but could not find any wounds.
Not The Grill Brush They Had In Mind: The brush was on fire behind Carpenters' Steakhouse in the 14000 block of Forest Blvd. N. on June 21 at 11:05 p.m.
Working From The Ground Up: Someone from the 4000 block of Fable Hill Way N. called the sheriff 's office at 4:41 p.m. on June 23 to have police check the area. Someone kept tearing up the backyard wetlands.
Litter-ally Not Moving: Two people in a white U-haul (what other colors do these trucks come in?) left some wire on south-bound Highway 61 on June 24 at 8:43 a.m.
Sticking To Their Guns: Some people were playing paintball in Rice Lake Park on June 27 at 9:15 a.m.
Through The Roof: Some juveniles were climbing on the roof of the pavilion in Oneka Park near Goodview and 147th St. N. on June 27 at 7:43 p.m.
The Loaded Question: Someone was shooting BB guns at muskrats in a pond in the 6000 block of 150th St. N. on June 28 at 6:14 p.m.
No Vacancy: There was a burglary-in-process reported in the 15000 block of Forest Blvd. N. on June 29 at 4:25 a.m. It turned out that the suspects were in a condemned trailer.
The Scoop On The News: A suspicious act was reported June 29 at 12:15 p.m. in the 12000 block of Greystone Ave. N. The complainants had received an unexpected package containing some Hindu newspapers. It was given to a postal supervisor for inspection.
Her True Colors: A female solicitor was selling books on shapes and colors in the 1200 block of Ferrara Ave. N. on June 29 at 1:05 p.m. It was unclear whether or not the solicitor had a permit.
A Bad Egg: There was a request for extra patrol on June 29th at 3:09 p.m. at 159th St. N. and 159th Alcove because of an egging concern.
Not A Car Buff: There was a noise complaint on June 30 at 3:06 a.m. in the 1500 block of Foster Dr. N. The person was washing their car and listening to music.
Take Me Out To the Ballfield: There was a car with its lights on in the ballfield on Fitzgerald Ave. N. near Lions Park on June 30 at 11:54 p.m.
Easily Alarmed: A car alarm was going off for 45 minutes at 130th St. N. and Forest Blvd. N. on July 2 at 3:07 p.m.
Suspension Of Belief: Someone was pulled over for driving aft er a suspended license twice in one day on July 3 in the 5100 block of Frenchman Road N. The offi cer warned the person that the next time they would go to jail.
Crime Is In Full Swing: Someone stole some baseball cards from a residence in the 15000 block of Glenbrook Ave. N. as reported on July 3 at 5:21 p.m.
Party Barge At Large: An 18-horsepower pontoon was reported stolen on July 8 at 5:10 a.m. from the 12000 block of Ethan Ave. N. The boat was later recovered out on the lake; no damage was found.
Fired Up: At 6:05 p.m. on July 8 the top of a power line pole was reportedly smoldering at 137th St. N. near the Public Works Building. Xcel Energy was called to take care of the issue.
Lino Lakes Police Reports
Caught In The Cross-Fire: Someone broke a window of a residence in the 1200 block of Velvet Leaf Lane sometime on June 20. It appeared to have been broken by a pellet.
You Know The Drill?: Someone entered a business in the 1200 block of Ash Street during nighttime hours on June 20 and removed a drill kit.
Refined Tastes: Four bottles of wine were stolen from a garage in the 6100 block of Oak Hollow Lane. The theft occurred between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on June 20. (Guess it's not sour grapes!)
Scraping By: One truck rolled back into another truck and scraped the bumper at Park Ct. and Lake Drive on June 22 at 9:02 a.m.
Sent Reeling: Someone sneaked onto a fishing boat in the 7100 block of Rice Lake Dr. on the night of June 25 and stole a fishing rod with reels, a tackle box full of lures, and a six gallon fuel tank.
Not An Open House: Someone in the 7400 block of Lake Dr. was pulled over at 5:06 a.m. on June 27 for driving without their headlights on. Due to recent burglaries in the area, the officer stopped the car and subsequently arrested the male driver for third degree burglary, felony damage to property, possession of stolen property and possession of burglary tools. This was connected to a burglary of a house under construction on Kelly Street the same day. A female was also arrested for obstruction of the legal process.
Ivy League Crime: A trellis was taken from a yard in the 6600 block of LaCasse Dr. sometime during night hours on June 27.
Masking Their Intentions: Two males were cited in the 6500 block of Ware Rd. on June 28 at 3:16 p.m. for running around the business area with ski masks on, concealing their identity and causing alarm to patrons and employees.
No If, Ands, Or Butts About It: A juvenile male was cited for possession of tobacco in the 1400 block of Birch St. at 10:53 p.m. He was later released to his father.
Taking A Dim View: A juvenile male was arrested for an illegal window tint, fifth degree controlled substance, speed, and no proof of insurance in the 200 block of Elm St. at 7:36 p.m. on July 2.
A Very Short Fuse: A male was cited in the 6600 block of Tele Lane at 7:39 p.m. on July 4, for possessing illegal fireworks.
Mis-Match: A male was cited in the 6900 block of 2nd Avenue on July 4 at 6:38 p.m. for burning prohibited materials.
Evil Curse: A male was cited in the 6900 block of Sunrise Avenue at 5:15 p.m. on July 6 for disorderly conduct for yelling profanities while on the phone.
Not Climbing the Ladder Of Success: Someone removed two ladders from a yard in the 2200 block of Rolling Hills Dr. sometime on July 10.
Centerville Police Reports
Domestic Assault: There was one domestic assault reported in Centerville since our last publication.
Coughing Up Extra Money: There were two tobacco citations on June 23 at 1:10 a.m. Both were at Lexington Ave. and Lake Dr.
Their Choices Were Clouded: Th ere were two sales of tobacco to minors since our last publication. One was on June 27 at 7:52 p.m. in the 7000 block of Centerville Rd.; the second was in the 1800 block of Main St.
