No Plumber’s Friend: Some townhouses under construction in the 4700 block of Victor Path were vandalized sometime over the weekend of May 2-3. Unknown suspect(s) blew off fire extinguishers, and squeezed several tubes of plumber’s glue and putty all over the interior of the homes.
They Couldn’t Contain Themselves: Officers responded to a report of vandalism on May 4, in the 4700 block of Irish Ave. N. The complainant stated that someone had hit and destroyed some recycling containers in the front of the residence.
It’s In The Bag: A suspicious white bag was reported on May 9 next to a mail drop. Further inspection revealed that the bag contained food and was part of a food drive sponsored by the United States Postal Service.
Rolling Out The Carpet: A residence under construction in the 4400 block of Fable Hill Way N. was burglarized on May 9. Someone broke the lockbox and took the key, then entered the home and stole 40 yards of brand new carpet and padding.
Cat Got Your Thumb?: Officers responded to a report of a cat bite at a residence on Forest Blvd N. on May 11. The complainant stated that a stray cat was trying to get under her deck when she grabbed the cat and the cat bit her on the thumb, breaking the skin. The owner was contacted and advised to quarantine the cat for ten days.
We Bet They Didn’t Ride Off Into The Sunset: A resident in the 5000 block of Evergreen Dr. N. reported on May 15 that two bikes were missing from their property. A Raleigh mountain bike, and a Raleigh off-road bike. There are no suspects.
Did Emu’v Away?: On May 15, a resident in the 7100 block of 137th St. N. reported a missing emu. The emu is described as being black and gray in color, and has a red band on one of its legs.
Will There Be A Charge For That?: A resident in the 14000 block of Grantaire Ln. N. reported suspicious activity on May 19. Upon arriving home, they noticed something plugged into the electrical outlet on the front porch. When officers arrived, a construction worker doing work nearby was on the scene and explained that he was charging his laser level, and had tried to contact a homeowner for permission.

Tanks, But No Tanks!: Officers responded to a report of theft in the 6500 block of Ware Rd. on April 29. The complainant stated that sometime during the night time hours, unknown suspect(s) stole 15 propane tanks from the cage.
Low On The Totem Trail: While on patrol on April 29, officers observed a vehicle in the ditch on Totem Trail. Upon making contact with the driver, a 47-year-old female, officers determined that she was intoxicated. They subsequently arrested the female for 2nd Degree DWI. She was transported to Anoka County Jail and booked.
Fencing The Goods (He Must Be New): Sometime during the night hours on May 2, someone stole a tow truck from a business in the 6000 block of Hodgson Rd. The victim stated that unknown suspect(s) drove his tow truck through a fence in the process of taking it.
Breaker-Breaker!: Officers responded to a theft and damage to property report in the 7700 block of Main Street on May 8. Unknown suspect(s) broke a window of one tractor and removed three CB radios from a total of three tractors during the night hours.
Where’s The Level Headed?: While on patrol, on May 2, an officer was flagged down by an individual in the 800 block of Birch St. The individual stated that one of his company’s transit levels, used in surveying, had been stolen from the side of the road by unknown suspect(s) during the morning hours.
They Won’t Permit Him To Solicit: Officers responded to a complaint of a solicitor selling products door-to-door in the 6900 block of Sunset Ave. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect who was selling without a city permit, which is in violation of city ordinance. The suspect, a 41-year-old male, was subsequently cited for the violation.
