This Issue's Statistic: There was one animal shot with an arrow in Hugo since our last publication. (This animal was an unclaimed cat in the 15000 block of Finley Ave. N. and it was taken to receive care for the wound.)

Having No Energy: A shoplifting incident was reported on Nov. 1 at 8:24 p.m. at the 61 Stop on Forest Blvd. N. When the complainant called, the person who was shoplifting was still in the store and had taken two energy drinks. Officers apprehended the person outside.

Not Pleasantly Idle: A squad car broke down on Nov. 2 at 5:48 a.m. at 170th St. N. and Forest Blvd. N. The car lost engine power and could not idle. Towing service was requested.

Was It A Set-Up?: A concrete company filed a vandalism report concerning an incident that took place at a construction site on Victor Hugo Blvd. N. and Frenchman Rd. N. at 7:25 a.m. on Nov. 2. Someone had pulled the levers on the spec-mix and released $200 worth of mix.

Literally Not Drinking And Driving: A vehicle was left in the lot of a liquor store in the 5400 block of 140th St. N. The report was made at 10:57 a.m. on Nov. 2. The party who owned the car was located and they agreed to move it that day.

Not November Attire In Minn.: Some suspicious activity was reported at Ingersoll Ave. N. and Co. Rd. 7 on Nov. 2 at 11:14 a.m. An older man was seen wearing shorts. Officers were unable to locate the suspicious individual.

Tearing Oneself Away: An officer damaged a uniform on Nov. 2 at 11:46 a.m. when he/she snagged the pants worn for duty on a nail while apprehending a suspect. This occurred in the 17000 block of Forest Blvd. N.

Fielding Questions: Some juveniles were shooting birds in a cornfield on 138th St. N. on Nov. 3 at 1:17 p.m. The attending officer informed them that they could not do this and they were very cooperative and went home.

Milking It For Attention: There was a cow in the road in the 9300 block of 170th St. N. on Nov. 3 at 6:28 p.m.

Getting Gruff About Goats: There was a neighbor complaint in the 6500 block of Egg Lake Rd. on Nov. 4 at 3:43 p.m. The complainant felt that an individual was taunting their animals by making goat sounds. Another goat was also reported to be in the roadway at 132nd St. N. and Goodview Ave. N. at 4:20 p.m. on Nov. 7. Deputies could not locate this animal upon arrival.

Wedding Speech: Someone reported that two individuals were doing something suspicious in the 4000 block of 132nd Way N. at 11:50 p.m. on Nov. 6. A male and his fiancée were found having a cigarette in their car, while listening to songs and discussing which music they wanted played at their wedding.

Selective Thinking: Someone called at 3:24 a.m. on Nov. 7 from the 4000 block of Empress Way N. This person wanted officers to ticket two cars on the block because of the Winter Parking Ordinance. Deputies explained that if these two cars were ticketed, then all the vehicles on the block would be ticketed. The person did not want all the cars ticketed, just those two cars.

"All The Leaves Are Brown": Someone was burning leaves at 5:51 p.m. on Nov. 8 at 130th and Goodview Ave. N. Officers found that the fire was of legal size.

Hunting For Clues: Someone called to report a suspicious vehicle in her own driveway in the 6100 block of 165th St. N. at 8:12 p.m. on Nov. 9. The complainant had been housesitting at her boyfriend's place while he was away hunting and had found this vehicle parked outside her home when she returned. The suspicious vehicle turned out to belong to someone who was on the hunting trip.

Lino Lakes Police Reports

Cash Out: A theft occurred in the 7600 block of Mustang Lane on Oct. 31 during nighttime hours. A thief entered an unlocked van and removed several tools, parts and a wallet.

Pushing The Envelope: There was a report of a theft of mail in the 100 block of Willow Pond Trail at 10:14 a.m. on Oct. 31. The complainant thought the theft had occurred the night before.

Money To Burn?: An adult male was cited on Oct. 31 at 7:16 p.m. for an illegal burn in the 8100 block of 4th Avenue.

Long Overdue: Two juveniles were cited for curfew violation at 1:19 a.m. on Nov. 4 in the 7400 block of Lake Dr. after the driver of the vehicle was pulled over for possession of alcohol.

Not Buying It: There was a shoplifting incident reported in the 700 block of Apollo Dr. at 4:55 p.m. on Nov. 5.

What's Mine Is Not Yours: A vehicle was stolen from the 7900 block of Nancy Drive on Nov. 6 at an unknown time. The vehicle was later recovered in St. Paul and the driver was arrested.

Cited Behind Them: While officers were conducting a stop in the 100 block of Ash Street on Nov. 10 at 2:00 a.m., another vehicle pulled up directly behind the squad car and the driver. An adult male was subsequently cited for careless driving.

Centerville Police Reports

This Issue's Statistic: There was one fifth degree assault in Centerville since our last publication.

Take This Into Account: Two checkbooks were stolen from the 1700 block of Westview St. at 2:56 p.m. on Oct. 13.

Weapon of Mass Distraction: There was one report of weapon possession and drug paraphernalia in the 7000 block of Main St. on Oct. 21 at 12:00 p.m.

Conducting A Search For This Person: There was one report of disorderly conduct in Centerville on Oct. 30 at 5:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of Main St.
