This Issue's Statistic:One student left the Oneka Elementary School grounds during school hours since our last publication.

Setting His Sights On Stolen Property: On Nov. 3 at 3:49 p.m. someone reported a stolen firearm. A 12-gauge Browning shotgun was taken from a residence in the 12000 block of Hilo Avenue N.

An Offbeat Crime: A karaoke machine was stolen from the 14000 block of Fitzgerald Ave. N. on Nov. 3 at 5:07 p.m. (Maybe someone wanted to do a rendition of "The Lost Chord"?)

Brushing It Off: At 1:42 p.m. on Nov. 4, someone reported that a yellow Ford pickup had dumped something on the side of the road in the 14000 block of Geneva Way N. Police located the vehicle, ID'ed the driver, and found out he was legally dropping off brush for a friend.

Making Camouflage Disappear: A palm pilot, a leather jacket, a cell phone, a computer, and some hunting masks and hunting gear were taken from an unlocked truck in the 16000 block of Harrow Ave. N., as reported on Nov. 5 at 5:28 a.m..

Not The Sharpest Tool In The Shed: At 11:29 p.m. on Nov. 5, someone called to report that a vehicle was trespassing on their property with the lights off. The complainant had had problems with vandalism in the past so they followed the suspicious vehicle down to a storage building and wrote down the license plate. Four full gas cans and a toolbox were taken. Value is estimated at $300.

Hair Of The Dog: A K-9 assisted in a search at a local business at 2:50 a.m. on Nov. 6.

Don't Lose Your Head: A juvenile temporarily got his head stuck in a railing around a staircase in the 6000 block of Egg Lake Rd. N. on Nov. 7 at 4:34 p.m. The caller was able to get him released without police assistance.

Getting All His Ducks In A Row:A hunter was seen in the 5400 block of 129th St. N. on Nov. 7 at 5:53 p.m. The complainant did not know if hunting was legal in this area and was just calling to get information.

Not Da Bomb!: On Nov. 12 at 11:15 a.m. someone in the 13000 block of Geneva Ave. N. called to report that there were bottles with tinfoil and chemicals in their yard and that they had heard noises at 4 a.m. and thought that the bottles might have exploded.

On The Fence: On Nov. 12 at 10:26 a.m. someone in the 13000 block of Fountain Ave. N. called to report that someone had spray-painted "H-Town" on their fence two weeks ago.

What's In-Store: On Nov. 1, a homeowner in the 6200 block of Otter Lake Rd. was cited for exterior storage violations.

Reinventing The Wheel: On Nov. 5, sometime during nighttime hours, someone removed two tires and two rims from a yard in the 200 block of Linda Lane

Here's My Card?: A credit card transaction fraud occurred at 11:41 a.m. on Nov. 5 in the 700 block of Apollo Dr. when an unknown female used a stolen credit card at a business.

Sign Of The Times: Nov. 6 someone removed a Patty Wetterling sign and a Paul Gardner political sign from the outside of someone's residence in the 7000 block of Sunrise Dr.

Putting It Behind You: Police responded to a vehicle property incident at 9:50 a.m. on Nov. 8 in the 700 block of Apollo Dr. when a vehicle rearended another vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Cufflinks On A Shoestring Budget?: Two females were arrested at 2:43 p.m. on Nov. 8 after they shoplifted clothes and shoes from a business in the 700 block of Apollo Drive.

Between A Rock And A Hard Place: Someone threw a rock through the window of a residence in the 900 block of Lois Lane on Nov. 9. No injuries were reported.

Nailing It: Someone filled a driveway gate lock in the 1200 block of Main St. with super glue and scattered nails along the driveway sometime on Nov. 9

Planting The Damage: At 9:19 p.m. on Nov. 9 someone threw some "plant-like material" from their vehicle and struck another vehicle, damaging the second vehicle's window.

Chairing The Event: At 7:02 p.m. on Nov. 10 someone in a vehicle hit a wooden chair that was in the roadway in the 300 block of Main St. No injuries were reported.

Out The Window: A window was shattered in the 7700 block of Main St. during the nighttime hours on Nov. 10. (While not a PC, it's another example of a Windows crash.)

Not Bottling It Up: On Nov. 13, a female was cited in the 1800 block of I-35W at 10:31 p.m. for driving after suspension, not having proof of insurance, and allowing an open bottle in her vehicle. Her passenger was also cited for the open bottle in a motor vehicle. A male was cited one hour later in the 500 block of Marshan Lane for the same offense.
