Burning To Go Underground: There was a report of smoke by the cemetery near Lions Park on Sept. 27 at 7:03 p.m. Officers could not locate anything upon arrival.

Instead, Curdle Up With A Good Mystery: On Oct. 1 at 5:47 p.m. someone in the 15000 block of Farnham Ave. N. called to report that juveniles sometimes drink at the basketball court and that there should be extra patrol in the area.

Halloween Night-mare: There was a loose horse spotted at 170th and Ingersoll Ave. N. on Oct. 3 at 3:46 a.m. Officers were unable to locate the animal upon arrival.

Ghost Hunting?: There was a hunting complaint in the 12000 block of Keller Ave. N. on Oct. 3 at 7:23 a.m. Gunshots were heard but no one was located by police.

Wanting The Graveyard Shift?: Someone from the 15000 block of Eminence Ave. N. called 911 at 9:24 a.m. on Oct. 3 to see about employment with Washington County.

Repossessed: There was a suspicious vehicle reported in the 5000 block of Fairpoint Dr. N. on Oct. 3 at 3:40 p.m. There was an older woman sitting in the vehicle. The woman in question turned out to be from a repo company.

Not A Bloodhound: A black and white pit bull was lost in the 5000 block of 140th St. N. on Oct. 3 at 5:39 p.m.

The Powers That Be (Not): There was a power line down at 122nd St. N. and Keller Ave. N. on Oct. 5 at 5:14 p.m.

Where They Learn The Alpha-bat: There were some juveniles on the roof of Hugo Elementary

School after dark at 8:53 p.m. on Oct. 5. They apologized profusely and left upon police arrival.

Flying Off the (Broom) Handle: There were supposedly two men fighting in the 15000 block of Forest Blvd. N. on Oct. 6 at 1:10 a.m. Police were unable to locate anyone.

Mummy Wrap Music: Someone was playing loud music in the 13000 block of Flay Ave. N. on Oct. 6 at 3:54 a.m. Police were unable to hear any music on arrival.

Dead Letter Department?: There were two mailboxes vandalized on Oct. 6, one in the 6200 block of 151st St. at 3:21 p.m. and the other in the 9400 block of 170th St. N. at 4:56 p.m. In the first incident, a cable box was also involved; the damage was $69. In the second incident, the complainant thought a monster truck was possibly involved.

Off The Main Artery: Someone was driving after revocation in the 16000 block on Forest Blvd. N. Oct. 6 at 2:34 p.m.

Haunting Melodies: There was a complaint of loud music on Oct. 6 at 11:43 p.m. at Eminence Ave. N. and Empress Ave. N.

Butchering The News: A Pioneer Press paper box at 145th St. N. and Finale Ave. was vandalized on Oct. 7 at 8:04 a.m. The papers were all gone and the small change was missing.

So Bloody Cold You'll Start Coffin': Someone saw an individual in a black truck dump an air conditioning unit into a lake in the 4500 block of 129th St. N. on Oct. 7 at 10:57 p.m.

Smokers In Need Of The (Pumpkin) Patch: There were three tobacco compliance violations on Oct. 8 before 9:30 in the morning. Nadeau's Market, the Blacksmith Lounge and the 61 Stop on Forest Blvd N. were cited for selling to minors.

Thinking You're Safe?: Two two-by-two tan safes were found in the 14000 block of Geneva Ave. N. on Oct. 9 at 4:45 p.m. There were miscellaneous papers and checkbooks in the safes.

New-Fang(led) Devices That Come Out At Night: On Sept. 24 there was a report of a burglary in the 6600 block of Blue Heron Dr. An unknown suspect forced entry into a residence and took a camera, a DVD player, some golfclubs, a laptop, and some jewelry.

Not A Law-a-biting Citizen: On Sept. 27 an 18-year-old male was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana in a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and speed. The report occurred in the 200 block of Ash Street at 11:12 p.m. The passenger was also cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Telling Time On Witch Watches: On Sept. 28 at 2:19 a.m., a juvenile male was cited for curfew violation and underage consumption in the 800 block of Birch Street. The juvenile was released to his mother.

Wouldn't Be Caught Dead Doing That: On Sept. 29 a 41-year-old white male was arrested in the 400 block of Ash Street at 2:04 a.m. for fleeing police officers in a motor vehicle, fleeing on foot, obstruct with force, 5th degree assault and canceled license/inimical to public safety.

Not A Turn For The Hearse: On Sept. 30 police responded to a property damage accident in the 1000 block of Birch Street at 8:06 p.m. A vehicle struck the rear part of another vehicle when the first driver was attempting to turn on Birch Street. No injuries were reported. On Oct. 2 at 6:03 p.m. police responded to another property damage accident at Birch Street and Hodgson. A vehicle failed to yield the right of way at the stoplights and turned in front of another vehicle, striking it as it went through the intersection. The driver was cited for failure to yield. No injuries were reported.

In Contact With The Spirits: A 21-year-old white male was arrested for 4th degree DWI on Sept. 30 at 1:46 a.m. This happened at 4th Ave and Lilac Street.

Not A Ghost Of A Chance: On Oct. 1, upon stopping a vehicle for speeding in the 7900 block of I-35E, officers subsequently cited a 19-year-old white male for speeding, allowing an open bottle, and possession of a small amount of marijuana in a motor vehicle. The passenger, a 26-year-old male was arrested for providing false info to police, open bottle and an outstanding gross misdemeanor warrant out of Ramsey County. (He was transported to the Anoka County Jail for booking.) Another passenger, a 16-year-old female was cited for curfew violation and released to her mother.

Cryptic Crossroads: On Oct. 2 police responded to a property damage accident that occurred in the 700 block of Apollo Drive at 1:52 p.m. A vehicle pulled out in front of oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Not Just Shooting Photo Footage?: On Oct. 5, police investigated a burglary that occurred in the 6300 block of Hodgson Road. An unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a residence and removed a camera, jewelry, credit cards, and cash during the day hours.

Cursed-Poor Judgment: In the 700 block of Main Street sometime on Oct. 8 someone spray-painted slang words on school property. Stopped for More Than A Cold One: At 5:56 p.m. on Oct. 9 a 39-year-old male was arrested in the 6700 block of I35Efor 4th degree DWI and for possession of drug paraphernalia.
