Hugo Police Reports
This Issue's Statistic: There were two home detention violations in Hugo since our last publication.
Roudy-O: On Sept. 2 at 7:01 p.m. there was a report from the 5600 block of 170th St. N. that the Dead Broke Saddle Rodeo was being too loud. Officers informed the complainant that the rodeo had a permit for live bands and that there were deputies working there. They also informed them that the rodeo would be closing at 9 p.m.
Letting the Air Out: At 7:36 p.m. on Sept. 3 someone from the 5700 block of 159th St. N. called to report an incident of vandalism. The complainant had pitched a tent in their own yard after a camping trip in hopes of letting it air out a bit. The tent was found on the ground and the poles were broken.
Someone To Watch Over Me: Some neighbors in the 15000 block of Forest Blvd. N. were concerned that their neighbors had installed a camera on their patio deck and that it was recording them. The call came in at 5:23 p.m. on Sept. 4.
Looking For Mary Poppins: An umbrella was reported stolen from the 4800 block of Education Dr. N. on Sept. 4 at 8:12 a.m.
You Fell For That?: Ten people were supposedly fighting in the 5000 block of Evergreen Dr. N. on Sept. 8 at 1:59 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found one injured individual walking eastbound and bleeding in the face. The individual said that he fell down. The officer contacted his father and escorted him home.
I'm Tilling On You: A rototiller valued at $319 was taken from a garden shed in the 6000 block of 148th St. N. sometime on Sept. 8.
Tooling Around: Someone reported that some hammers, some screwdrivers, and some pliers were stolen from a trunk of a car in the 5600 block of 146th St. N. on Sept. 9 at 9:43 a.m. The vehicle had been unlocked.
Low, Low, Lower Your Boat: Someone from the 10000 block of Kerry Ct. N. called at 11:13 a.m. on Sept. 9 to report that some people had parked on the south side of the nearby lake to fish. Since the water was too low in the other areas they had to launch their boat in this location but they were trespassing on the complainant's property. Officers left a warning on the parked vehicle.
Gate Arm Wrestling: There was a vandalism report in the 6300 block of 175th St. N. on Sept. 11 at 10:07 a.m. Someone's gate arm was twisted and the padlocks had been tampered with. Nothing was reported missing.
Knockin' and Walkin': A suspicious act was reported in the 15000 block of Fenway Ave. N. on Sept. 12 at 1:42 a.m. Someone was knocking on the exterior windows but no one was there when the complainant looked outside. There were some possible footprints nearby. Officers were unable to locate anyone.
Not a Good Meating Place: A white male in a white van was selling steaks in the 7000 block of 165th St. N. on Sept. 12 at 12:12 p.m. Police were unable to locate the individual.
Not a Secure Person?: A person as supposedly selling home security in the 4300 block of Victor Path at 6:27 p.m. on Sept. 12. Officers were unable to locate anyone upon arrival. This person was again seen in the 6400 block of 151st St. N. on Sept. 13 at 9:42 a.m. Deputies were also unable to find anyone at this location.
A Little Hoarse From Yelling?: Someone lost their horse in the 10000 block of 170th St. N. on Sept. 13 at 10:23 a.m. A neighbor called to say that a horse was roaming around and they were concerned. Police escorted the animal to its pen, found two pieces of electric fence, and contacted the owner to secure it again.
Lino Lakes Police Reports
In a Nano Second: An Ipod was stolen from a locker in the 7600 block of Village Dr. on Sept. 1 at 6:20 p.m.
Not a Public Speaker: Officers responded to a report of a found speaker base box in the area of Lake Drive and Town Center Parkway on Sept. 3. The box was placed into the Lino Lakes property room until claimed by the owner.
Taking Out the Trash: There was a report of a theft and property damage in the 700 block of Aqua Lane on Sept. 6. During nighttime hours, someone started a bench on fire and removed a garbage can.
Do You Hear an Echo?: An unknown male suspect in a gray or blue vehicle with a red hood removed an Echo chainsaw from a residence in the 7900 block of 24th Avenue at 5:19 p.m. on Sept. 6.
Goose Buster: An adult male was cited in the 8300 block of 24th Avenue at 8:02 p.m. on Sept. 6 for hunting geese without a license or a waterfowl stamp in possession.
Not Proper A-tire: An unknown suspect punctured a tire in the 600 block of Highland Trail sometime on Sept. 7.
Throwin' Shade?: Someone damaged some screens and shades on a motor home in the 7100 block of Snow Owl Lane on Sept. 8 at an unknown time.
Signature Required: An autographed snowmobile hood was stolen from the 8000 block of Lake Dr. on Sept. 9 at 2:20 a.m.
Luckily Not Losing Anything But Sleep Over It: Officers responded to a one vehicle property damage accident in the 1100 block of Ash Street at 12:26 p.m. on Sept. 13. A driver fell asleep and crossed over the roadway, running over a number of roadside bushes in a yard and finally came to rest after striking a large tree near a house. The driver suffered only minor bruises and bumps and declined medical treatment.
The Grass is Not Greener with a Ticket: A 19-year-old male was cited at 11:02 p.m. on Sept. 17 in the 900 block of Ash Street for possession of a small amount of marijuana in a motor vehicle, not having a driver's license in possession, and no light illuminating the license plate. The passenger was also cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana.
