This Issue's Statistic: There was one truancy violation since our last publication.
Called In On The Mobile: An abandoned snowmobile was reported somewhere on 170th St. on March 7 at 6:04 p.m.
Stalling In Getting There: A truck with its flashers on was seen just after noon on March 8 at Ingersoll Ave. N. and 155th St. N.
'No Blowin': A new Toro snowblower was stolen from a business in the 15000 block of Forest Blvd. N. on March 8 at 3:43 p.m. It was valued at $702.00.
A Waste Of Time: A port-opotty was taken from a construction site at 129th and Ethan Ave. N. on March 9 at 8:17 a.m. It was later found in the woods nearby.
All That Jazz: There were several loud music complaints since our last publication. One complaint was on March 10 at 3:15 a.m. in the 4800 block of Elm Dr. N. and another was on March 20 at 1:25 a.m. in the 15000 block of Forest Blvd. N.
Losing Sight Of One's Goals: A Bauer hockey net with plastic black pipes with grey duct tape was taken from a garage in the 5500 block of 137th St. N. on March 11 at 10:52 a.m.
Cementing An Impression: On March 13 at 8:58 a.m. someone reported that 150 aluminum cement forms were taken from a construction site at Farnham Ave. N. and Foster Dr. They were valued at $3750.00. The forms had been dropped off on February 28 and had Western Farms stickers on them.
Why Didn't The Teens Cross The Road?: Two juveniles were seen jumping out in front of cars at 130th and Forest Blvd. N. at 8:54 p.m. on March 13.
The Nature Of The Rotten Smell: There was a strong smell of fertilizer reported in the 13000 block of Geneva Ave. N. on March 14 at 8:56 p.m. Police were unable to detect any odor.
Somebody Wants Their 'Ides: On March 15 at 8:59 a.m. over $18,000 worth of new and used machinery was reported to have been taken from an unlocked barn in the 17000 block of Foxhill Ave. N.
Down To The Quick: Someone was going 51 in a 35 mile-perhour zone at Egg Lake Road and Geneva Ave. N. on March 15 at 2:45 p.m.
Would Peter Piper Be Proud?: Four juveniles were seen acting suspiciously in the 6000 block of 165th St. N. on March 16 at 7:34 a.m. They had apparently been trying to play a prank and were going to pour pickle juice on someone and then videotape it. The officers saw a jar of pickles at the scene.
A Little Something For The Road: Some people were supposedly going through a binful of construction equipment on the side of the road at 129th St. N. and Elmcrest Ave. on March 16 at 12:26 p.m. It turned out to be some individuals working on replacing the roads.
Conservatively Speaking: A male came to a door in the 14000 block of Foxhill Ave. N. on March 16 at 4:48 p.m. and asked the individual who answered if they had time for him to practice his speaking skills. They declined.
Pasta Time Away: Someone put macaroni and cheese all over a vehicle in the 13000 block of Europa Tr. Way N. on March 17 at 7:22 a.m. The complainant said that it was "definitely not Kraft." Police advised them to bring their vehicle to a car wash.
Don't Treat It Light-ly: The red light for the sewer was on at the lift station in the 6000 block of Oneka Lake Blvd. N. at 4:11 p.m. on March 18.
Fire: A fire took place at Ricci's at 4:20 p.m. on March 18. A boiler started some grease on fire near the hood of an exhaust vent and an employee went to the 61 Stop to get another extinguisher when a large amount of smoke started coming through the roof. The damage to the kitchen area was extensive and the Fire Marshal is still determining the extent of the wreckage. See related article Page A1.
Fiddling On The Roof: At 5:32 p.m. on March 19 several juveniles were seen on the roof of the maintenance building at the park next to City Hall. Police told them to come down.
Lino Lakes Police Reports
Not Getting A Brake: A property damage accident occurred at Main St. and I-35E at 4:42 p.m. on March 7. The driver said that their brakes went out when they were exiting the freeway before they struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported.
Addressing The Address: A 22-year-old male was cited on March 8 at 11:20 a.m. at 21st Ave. and Main St. for failing to change his address on his driver's license and for not having any proof of insurance.
Drive Your Decision: A 31- year-old female was cited at 3:37 p.m. on March 8 in the 7300 block of Lake Drive for driving after revocation, not having proof of insurance, and displaying the wrong tabs.
A Night And Day Difference: Two 16-year-old juvenile females in the 6600 block of Centerville Road were cited for curfew violations on March 9 at 1:37 a.m.
Grassroots Movement?: A lawnmower was removed from the side of a garage in the 8200 block of Lake Dr. sometime between March 9 and March 12.
Running On Empty: An officer stopped to assist two people who had apparently run out of gas on March 12 at a location undisclosed in the report, and discovered that the two teens had committed a burglary earlier that day and were in possession of stolen property. They were both arrested.
Not Owning It: Some rental equipment was stolen from the 7900 block of Lake Drive on March 13 at 11:28 a.m. A 46- year-old man was arrested for this crime.
Going Underground: A hitandrun accident occurred in the 7500 block of Lake Drive sometime on March 20. A vehicle was damaged while it was parked in a parking lot.
