Their Haul-i-days Are Numbered: An owner of a day care in the 12000 block of Homestead Ave. N. called at 10:55 a.m. on Dec. 14 to let police know that the garbage trucks on Friday mornings were using their driveway as a turnaround.
New Avenues To Generate Revenue: Someone was pulled over at 8:29 p.m. on Dec. 14 at 129th St. N. and Ethan Ave. N. because they had a headlight out.
Falling For The Story: A disturbance was reported at a business in the 14000 block of Victor Hugo Blvd. N. on Dec. 15 at 2:43 a.m. Five people came into the Kwik Trip and then a female fell on the floor before going into the men's bathroom. Two males were also yelling at each other. The parties were no longer on-scene when the deputy arrived.
Dropping A Line: Someone called the Washington County Sheriff 's Office at 1:33 p.m. on Dec. 15 from 121st St. N. and Everton Ave. N. to report that some ice fishermen were parked on the roadway. Officers found that all vehicles were parked legally.
Taking Down The Tree: Someone reported that a three-foot-tall tree and a planter had been stolen from the 15000 block of Forest Blvd. N. on Dec. 16 at 9:45 a.m. The complainant said that they had heard some voices on their deck around 1:00 a.m. the night before but had not investigated at that time.
An Eggsample Of Recent Vandalism: A car was egged in the 6000 block of 135th St. N. sometime in the early morning hours of Dec. 16. There are no suspects at this time.
Booking It Outta There: A child's school bookbag was found in the 5500 block of 159th St. N. at 8:32 a.m. on Dec. 17. The bag was returned to the owner's parents, who explained that it had fallen off the roof of the car that morning when they pulled away.
Oil And Winter Don't Mix: Someone reported some suspicious containers in the 12000 block of Ingersoll Ave. N. at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 17. The complainant said that they do not often stay at the residence in the winter but that there was a motor oil can and two rims near the shed. They thought that it might be a neighbor's and were going to check into the matter.
Was She Lye-ing?: A suspicious act was reported at 146th St. N. at a local business at 8:07 a.m. on Dec. 18. A female customer had bought some lye the day before and was acting very suspicious.
No Common Cents: There was an animal complaint in the 12000 block of Heather Ave. N. on Dec. 18 at 4:17 p.m. Someone was letting their dogs run all over the neighborhood and the complainant was upset.
At Their Disposal: A red light went on at the sewage lift station in the 5000 block of 141st Circle N. at 6:53 p.m. on Dec. 20. Public Works was attending to the problem, which was caused by a power outage.
Sticking It To The (Snow) Man: At 8:02 p.m. on Dec. 21, a snowman, complete with arms made of sticks, was found in the middle of the road at 135th St. N. and Geneva Ave. N. It was classified as a road hazard. The attending officer noted that, "as luck would have it, there was a shovel nearby," and he returned the snowman to the bank where he was born.
Not Charging An Arm & A Leg, Just Tows: Some people were seen towing a vehicle north of 120th St. N. on Forest Blvd. N. on Dec. 22 at 2:01 a.m. The complainant thought it was a safety hazard.
Quick Turnaround Service?: A taxi supposedly almost hit another vehicle in the lot of Rick's Liquor on 140th St. N. on Dec. 24 at 3:37 p.m. when it was making a turn. Deputies were unable to locate this cab.
Wanting To Give Them A Knuckle Sandwich: There was a driving complaint of a possible drunk driver on Forest Blvd N. near the Subway sandwich shop at 5:25 p.m. on Dec. 24. Officers could not locate this swerving vehicle upon arrival.
Lino Lakes
Bus-ted: A property damage incident occurred in the 6500 block of Deerwood Lane on Dec. 12 at 7:56 a.m. when a vehicle backed out of a driveway and struck a school bus. No injuries were reported.
No Ifs, Ands Or Butts: Police observed a driver throw a cigarette out a window in the 6400 block of Hodgson Rd. at 10:41 p.m. on Dec. 13. The 20-year-old male was cited for littering and for possession of drug paraphernalia.
The juvenile passenger was cited for possession a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of tobacco.
Yo, Studs: A power drill was taken from a vehicle in the 6600 block of Sandhill Dr. sometime on Dec. 14.
Hunting You Down: At 5:37 p.m. on Dec. 15, an adult male was cited at an undisclosed location in Lino Lakes for hunting on private property without written permission from the landowner.
Not An Urban Legend: An adult female was arrested for possession of a legend drug without a prescription in the 500 block of Apollo Dr. at 11:21 p.m. on Dec. 16. Her other charges included: an outstanding warrant, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The woman was transported to the jail for booking.
He-quipped: Police stopped a 29-year-old male for equipment violation in the 7700 block of Lake Dr. at 2:35 a.m. on Dec. 21.
The driver was also charged with third degree DWI, fleeing a police officer, and obstruction of the legal process. There was another report of an equipment violation in the 700 block of Main St. on Dec. 26 at 1:30 a.m. The male driver was also arrested for fourth degree DWI.
Out-Box: A juvenile male collided with a mailbox in the 6600 block of Hokah Dr. at 8:23 a.m. on Dec. 21. He was cited for careless driving.

This Issue's Statistic: There was one incident of disorderly conduct at 5:39 p.m. on Dec. 11 in Centerville since our last publication.
Following Him Religiously: Police followed a 24-year-old male at Centerville Rd. and Heritage St. on Nov. 27 and subsequently arrested him for third degree DWI.
Neither Snow Nor Rain Nor Heat Nor Gloom Of Night Was The Problem: There were three reports of theft of mail from mailboxes in the 7000 block of Eagle Trail at 12:08 p.m., 1:01 p.m. and 1:12 p.m. on Dec. 16. The mail was opened and thrown on the ground.
